Can Christians Have Demons? Temple Of The Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19)

Temple of the Holy Spirit
Some argue that since a Christian's body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, it would be impossible for a demon to coexist within the same body, as it would be incompatible with the presence of the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 6:19 – What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
This passage talks about the importance of avoiding sexual immorality and not letting sin control our bodies. It stresses that sexual immorality is a sin against our own bodies and highlights the need to honor God with our bodies by staying away from sin. This passage is not about Christians unable to have demons.
1 Corinthians 6:12-20 – All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
This passage is emphasizing the importance of fleeing from sexual immorality and taking care of our bodies as they are temples of the Holy Spirit. This passage is focused on maintaining sexual purity and not uniting one's body in immorality with a prostitute.
Paul is reminding the Corinthians that when a person engages in sexual relations with a prostitute, they are becoming one body with that person. However, he contrasts this by stating that the one who is joined to the Lord is one spirit. Paul's point is that a Christian's body, as a member of or "joined to" Christ, should never at the same time become a member, one body, with a prostitute.
This passage is not talking about Christians being unable to have demons.
Interpreting this verse to argue that Christians cannot have demons is reading into the text a meaning that is not explicitly there, it is reflecting the interpreter's preconceived notions or biases.
